Exodus 12:1-30 Key Verse: "This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord a lasting ordinance." Exodus 12:14 "Celebrate the feast of unleavened bread, because it was on this very day that I brought your divisions out of Egypt. Celebrate this day as a lasting ordinance for the generations to come." (Exodus 12:17) "And when your children ask you, "What does this ceremony mean to you?" then tell them, "It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when He struck down the Egyptians." Psalm 100 , Matthew 11:25-27 , Luke 10:22-24 Key Verse: At that time Jesus said, "I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children." Matthew 11:25 Remember, this outburst by Jesus is in response to the good report of the successful ministry of the 72 he had sent out. They were excited that they were actually able to do Jesus’ Will. Jesus is excited that they obeyed and were successful. When Jesus says, "I Praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children," He is rejoicing in the fact that it was the simple, not the religious leaders, who were successfully bringing the Kingdom of God to the masses.
